buddha - reality

The four catagories of existance,
non-existance,
both existance and non-existance,
and neither existance nor non-existance,
are spiderwebs among spiderwebs
which can never take hold of the
enormous bird of reality

yogananda - pranayama

mandala

PRANAYAMA IS DERIVED fron two Sanskrit words - prana (life) and ayama (control). Pranayama is therefore life control and not “breath control.” The broadest meaning of the word prana is force of energy. In this sense, the universe is filled with prana; all creation is a manifestation of force, a play of force. Everything that was, is, or shall be, is nothing but the different modes of expression of the universal force. The universal prana is thus the Para-Prakiti (pure Nature), immanent energy or force which is derived from the infinite Spirit, and which permeates and sustains the universe.

Success should be
measured by the
yardstick of happiness;
by your ability to remain
in peaceful harmony
with cosmic laws.

meditation in the hoop

yoga hoop flow

Beyond our ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase ‘each other’
doesn’t make sense any more. Jelaluddin Rumi

When there is no distinction between the knower and the knowing, the object and the subject, one becomes immersed in immense bliss.

that’s the hooping experience!

GROW - Know that there is an invisible intelligence in everything. You have the power to make contract with this Divine Intelligence and create a life of bliss. Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

GROW with the flow!
out of the head
into the heart
flow by way of the spiral–
the symbol of growth in nature and
of a spiritual nature
spinning:
security creativity personal power love-joy clarity expansion!
Rumi-like whirling dervish
mesmerizing motion
in the vortex
spontaneous
pure space
free-form
freedom
no expectation goal agenda
fully engaged
present moment
effortless Union -
YOGA!

Surrender is the simple but profound wisdom of yielding to rather than opposing the flow of life.

Surrender is not weakness. There is great strength and spiritual power in it. Through surrender, you will be free internally of any situation. You may then find that the situation changes without any effort on your part. In any case, you are free
Eckhart Tolle

Struggle vs Surrender
YOGA is not merely some form of exotic exercise. Yoga postures or asanas are just one small aspect of the vast wisdom and truths encoded in the ancient scriptures.
Current consensus equates struggle, hard work and more knowledge with feeling in control of life. The linear, rigid, often demanding and precise direction of most Yoga ASANA (exercise) practices can sometimes reinforce the effort/stuggle mentality instead of eliciting the expected peace, joy and bliss!
– precise alignment, controlled breathing, strict practice, more teachers / more workshops — THEN BLISS?
OOPS, sorry, the “universe” doesn’t work that way. The Vedas and Upanishads hold the key to the real power and potential that is YOGA —that is, when we give up outcome and control by surrendering to a higher power, life flows effortlessly and more joyfully. Likewise, physically moving in a non linear more fluid way as with the hoop, a living breathing center of creative energy, peace and bliss emerges.

The growth of understanding follows an ascending spiral rather than a straight line. Joanna Field
flow with it!

Hooping enhances all aspects of body, mind and spirit and in such a natural, simple, joyfully relaxed way! The myriad health benefits, the beauty of its sacred geometry, symbology and creation mythology — in other words — the beyond comprehension perfect-ness of hooping complements and enhances a yogi’s lifestyle.
